Pen ar Pont is in four acres of its own grounds and surrounded by forty acres of woodland that is 

full of  paths used for horse riding and biking as well as walking. We are next to the River Leguer

where on can kayak, and fishing is available for salmon and seatrout. Only a local license is necessary; there are no riparian rights in France. 

We are fifteen minutes from Lannion, a thriving market town with a large weekly outside market on Thursdays, man medieval building and good quality boutiques and restaurants. The sea is twenty minutes from Pen ar Pont at St Michel-en-Greve, close to the magnificent pink granite coast where there are numerous sandy beaches with opportunities for windsurfing, boat trips and swimming, or even just walking along the stretches of coast line like the Sentier des Douaniers, 

(the Customs Officers' Walk, formerly used by smugglers).

Pen ar Pont is an old farm where there are extensive grounds to saunter round and see the poultry, as well as wild birds like woodpeckers and jays - and if one gets up early, there is also the odd deer and fox.  

In an old converted barn, it is possible to play table tennis and darts. The room is also available for cooking simple meals.
